We are happy to host Ka'Liaa Baynard , youngest author in Delaware, and Bonita Benson as they sign books and discuss writing, kindness, and finding yourself to start Mental Health Awareness Month.
About Kindness Counts- Living with childhood mental health conditions, this little advocate began to express the burden of being "a little kid like me." Instead of becoming unhappy and unpleasantly intolerable, she decided to help herself and other children she believes may need extra help focusing on learning and retaining the fundamentals. Refusing to become "invisible" because of a lack of understanding, resources or a pandemic, she raises her pen in victory! Bringing awareness to the influences of Childhood Traumas, Child Mental Health, and Families struggling with more grief and finance than help or understanding has on education. Ka'Liäa has successfully journeyed to the 1st grade.
"Kindness Counts" provides basic FUNdamentals. Your student can successfully master these tools for learning with others around the world. "Hi! I am Miss Ka'Liäa and I am an advocate for kids who need help, a VOICE. I understand and want to help the hurting, the embarrassed and trauma survivors through my Friendship activity book. My book helps me to be focused, calm, confident, and keep learning, and you can too."
